Patty Embry

Patty Embry, 71, of Lebanon, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, in Springfield.

She was born March 21, 1945, in Lebanon, Mo. to Erna and Cleo Summers Stokes.

On April 6, 1963, she married Darrell Embry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darrell Embry on Jan. 8, 2013; her brother-in-law, Darius Embry, and a niece, Genevieve Lynn “Ginny’’ Stokes, on Oct. 24, 2016.

Patty worked for Civil Service at Fort Leonard Wood for 15 years, worked at the H.D. Lee Company and enjoyed delivering flowers for Always Flowers and The Flower Basket for the past 10 years. She also was employed at Wal-Mart.

She was a member of Eureka Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Tony Embry, of Lebanon; Paul Manning, of Lebanon; Laurie Caufield, of Lebanon; Sherrie King, of Lebanon; a brother, Doyle Stokes (Betty), of Rader; a brother-in-law, Doyle Embry, of Stockton; two grandchildren, Samantha Embry and Jae Carroll; one great-granddaughter, Nathalie Embry; other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services and burial for Patty Embry will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at Eureka Cemetery near Rader with Pastor Gerald Klaus officiating.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.

A memorial has been established in memory of Patty and donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, 1001 N. Lynn, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
