City mulls marijuana regulations

In November, Missouri voters approved medical marijuana. Now, the state and cities like Lebanon must decide on regulations for the sale and production of the substance.

The Lebanon City Council Monday night discussed what kinds of limits can be placed on medical marijuana in the city limits.
City Administrator Michael Schumacher said the law approved by voters prevents local governments from prohibiting or creating any unduly burdensome regulations on medical marijuana.
“We can, however, apply zoning standards as we do all businesses across Lebanon,” Schumacher  said.
