No one was hurt in a fire that destroyed a family’s home near Competition Sunday night.
Dispatchers sent area firefighters to a trailer home fire at 8:38 p.m.
The home located at 29810 Anthony Road west of Competition was close to 100 percent involved when firefighters first arrived, according to Nebo-Falcon Chief Dwayne McAtee.
“They were lucky they even heard it and caught it,” McAtee said.
The residents got out in time and three cats were rescued — two from the trailer and one from a nearby tree.
