When a person is homeless or financially struggling, just having clean clothes is a challenge. That is when some Laundry Love comes in handy.
Laundry Love is a program designed to help the homeless and other struggling folks by providing free laundry services the last Tuesday of each month from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
Currently, the program has room for growth.
“We’re hoping if it gets a little bigger, we can go to two nights a month,” said Deb Milton.
She and her husband, Terry, first heard of the Laundry Love concept when they attended the Tri-Lakes Christian Church in Branson.
“It was in our mind a lot,” Milton said.
Consequently, they brought the concept to Lebanon and presented it to their church, Southern Heights Christian Church at 2080 S. Jefferson and Pastor Jeff Hinson as a possible service to offer locally.
