One more Christmas in the Hollar

Thirty years ago, it began as a source of entertainment for Ray and Brenda Jones’ four kids, Kevin, Jeremy, and Jason Jones and their daughter, Stacey (Jones) Fox, the stringing of Christmas lights, lawn ornaments, and other outdoor Christmas decorations. Each year, a few more were added and that has come to include miniature shops and various inflatables. Now, their four grown children, their eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren have enjoyed what has become known as Jones’ Christmas in the Hollar for the past three decades.
With an unlikely rural location in western Laclede County, between Lebanon and Long Lane, on Eisenhower Road, off Highway 00 near Highway 32, the charming Christmas display is not the average suburban lighted one. When Ray and Brenda revealed that this would be their last year, the announcement was met with disbelief, disappointment and even tears.
