Starvy Creek Fall Bluegrass Festival kicks off Thursday

Bluegrass fans from all over the country are about to flock to Conway.
The 27th annual Starvy Creek Fall Bluegrass Festival, 2229 Bluegrass Road in Conway, kicks off Thursday, and the sound of music will fill the area through Saturday.
“We are dedicated to preserving bluegrass music and ensuring folks have a safe, clean venue in which to enjoy this amazing music genre,” event coordinators said in an email to the Laclede County Record.
The Starvy Creek Bluegrass Festival, which is also held in July, was first started 33 years ago by Don and Bobbie Day. Since then, the festival has grown to two times a year with many nationally known bluegrass bands making appearances there over the years.
