Vandals have once again defaced a Lebanon city park
According to an online police report, a Lebanon officer on routine patrol discovered spray painted graffiti at W.T. Vernon Park while patrolling at 8:04 p.m. Wednesday.
This was the second reported vandalism in Lebanon parks in the past week. Last Friday, vandals spray painted parts of Atchley Park on Lynn Street.
City Communications Manager Derek Gean said Friday that improving security for the city’s parks was an issue cited by residents responding to the customer satisfaction survey earlier this year.
“Since that time, the City Council has been working with city staff to implement a strategy in improving park security,” Gean said.
