ALICE JOAN and MILTON W. SCHOONOVER

Alice Joan Schoonover, 75, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, in Lebanon, and her husband, Milton W. Schoonover, 81, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, in Lebanon.
Alice was born Nov. 2, 1942, in Indiana, Pa. to John and Mildred Albright Uadiski.
On Feb. 29, 1964, she married Milton William Schoonover.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Jack, Johnny, and Jimmy Uadiski.
Alice was raised in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. She then lived in California and Missouri. She owned a leather shop in Taft, Calif. for several years. She and Milton made their home in Florida for 10 years and then returned to Missouri in the mid 1990’s. In addition to being a devoted homemaker, she owned and operated a restaurant between Grovespring and Hartville for a number of years.
Milton was born Oct. 3, 1936, in Angelica, N.Y. to Otto and Grace White Schoonover.
On Feb. 29, 1964, he married Alice Joan Uadiski.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Alice, on Aug. 1, 2018.
Milton was raised in New York and joined the military as a young man. He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Air Force for several years. He then became a truck driver and mechanic and through the years he and his family lived in California, Missouri, and then in Florida. He had also owned a motorcycle shop at one time. The family moved to Missouri in the mid 1990’s and Milton helped Alice in the operation of her restaurant for a couple of years. He and Alice had made their home in Lebanon for the last several years.
Alice and Milton had made their profession of faith in Christ and were members of Union Mission Church.
They are survived by two sons, Bill Schoonover and his wife, Amy, of Lebanon and Keith Schoonover, of Haines City, Fla.; two grandchildren, Dawson Schoonover and Taylor Schoonover; Alice is also survived by a brother, Jesse Uadiski, of Connecticut; four sisters, Shirley Kimberlin, of Lebanon; Rosie Beck, of Ohio; Mary Swansiger, of Tennessee; Minnie Langworthy, of Florida, and Nancy Dibuno, of Delaware; several nieces and nephews; Milton is also survived by two brothers, Jerry Schoonover, of New York and David Schoonover, of Colorado, also several nieces and nephews.
Services for Alice and Milton Schoonover will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, in Union Mission Church with the Rev. Don Anderson officiating, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
