Corriene Starks, 91, of Richland, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, in Springfield.
She was born Nov. 14, 1926, in Stoutland, Mo. to Rozel and Cora Crabtree Miller.
On Oct. 5, 1947, she married Leslie Frank Starks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leslie “Red’’ Starks; two brothers, Lenford “Buzz’’ and Ronnie Miller; two sisters, Berniece Hillhouse and Verberie Joyce, and a son-in-law, Terry Luxton.
Following graduation from Stoutland High School, she worked in the grocery store in Stoutland, H.E. Warren & Sons Clothing Store in Richland, and Brown Shoe Factory. She was a devoted homemaker, wife and mother.
She was an active and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Richland.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Luxton, of Springfield and Kelly Gard (Chad), of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Sierra and Brett Gard; one son, Forresteen Clark, of Fort Collins, Colo.; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life service for Corriene Starks will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Richland with the Rev. David Brown officiating, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
