Gene McGuire Jr. “Sonny,’’ 54, of Montreal, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, in Osage Beach.
He was born Feb. 29, 1964, in Columbia, Mo. to Gene McGuire Sr. and Evelyn Stover McGuire.
Sonny worked as a road grader operator for many years for Camden County Road and Bridge.
He was a longtime member of Pleasant Hill Church. He also attended Mt. Horeb Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Ashley McGuire and David Hendrix, of Waynesville, and Kimberly Brownlee and her husband Shayne, of Camdenton; two grandchildren, Jade and Paisley Hendrix; his parents, Gene and Evelyn McGuire, of Camdenton; one brother, Tony McGuire and his wife, Cathy, of Camdenton; one sister “Little’’ Leffert and her husband Glen, of Montreal; six nephews, Travis and his wife Katie, Trenton, Devin, Kowen, Bryan and Blake McGuire; one great-nephew, Isaiah McGuire; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
Funeral services for Gene McGuire Jr. “Sonny’’ will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Rick Hill and Donny Jennings officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Horeb Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Monday also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
