Helen Breedlove, 81, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, in Springfield.
She was born March 7, 1937, in Stoutland, Mo. to Noel Jennings and Helen MaryBelle Hutchings Allee.
On Feb. 15, 1959, she married Bobby Breedlove.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Wayne and Paul Allee, and her lifelong friend, Sue Wade.
Following graduation from Stoutland High School in 1955, she obtained her B.S. in Education in 1958 from Southwest Missouri State University (MSU) and a Masters Degree in Education in 1971 from Drury University. She taught Business and English at Stoutland and Lebanon high schools, and also served several years as head of the Language Arts Department. In 2016, she became a Wall of Honor recipient as a longtime educator. She was also an Adjunct faculty member at Drury University for 10 years.
She is survived by her husband Bobby Breedlove; one son, Craig Breedlove (fiancee’ Charlene Hills), of Omaha, Neb.; one daughter, Lori Breedlove Sarrazin (Rob), of Nixa; two grandchildren, Eric and Blake Sarrazin; one brother, Dale Allee, of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Joretta Allee, of Cape Girardeau; a special niece, Elise Allee; a nephew, Clifton Allee and his family; other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Life service for Helen Breedlove will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, in Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Ellen Martin officiating, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
Visitation will also be on Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time in the funeral chapel.
