Jake Stephen, 57, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, in Eldridge.
He was born Aug. 24, 1961, in Joplin, Mo. to Leroy and Wilma May Marbut Stephen.
On Aug. 13, 1983, he married Sandra Faye Hutchison.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Stephen and two brothers, Robert Lee and Roy Eugene Stephen.
Jake graduated from Vienna High School. He joined the National Guard in 1980. He attended basic training and Army Engineering School at Fort Leonard Wood. He worked at Lebanon Country Club, Tracker Marine, Lebanon North Nursing and Rehab, Poor Boys Tree Trimming and most recently Independent Stave, where he had been for three years.
He was baptized at Shepherd Bible Church in Dixon in 1984. He attended Community Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Sandra; three sons, Nicholas Stephen, Timothy Stephen and Sabrina Sedlock, and Anthony “A.J.’’ Stephen and Jennifer Sharp, all of Lebanon; his mother, Wilma May Stephen, of Dixon; one brother, William Stephen and his wife Carol, of Nixa; one sister, Ginger Rollins and her husband Michael, of Dixon; four grandchildren, Abagail, Anderson, Lane, Aleena and Justin Stephen; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Jake Stephen will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
