Marilyn Sue Hicks, 81 of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, in Mercy Hospital Springfield.
She was born April 24, 1938, in Charity, Mo. to Marvin and Florence Gott Rice.
In 1955 she married James Richard “Ricky’’ Hicks.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ricky, on Nov. 18, 2008; two brothers, Art and Jerry, and a sister, Geraldine.
She was raised in the Conway community, and attended Conway schools. After she and Ricky were married, they made their home in the Lebanon area until moving to California. Marilyn and Ricky then lived in California for many years and she worked as a beautician after earning her cosmetology license. The family returned to Lebanon in 1970, and Marilyn continued to work as a beautician for several years. Through the years, she was also a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.
She is survived by her son, Randy Hicks and his wife Sue, of Lebanon; three step-granddaughters, Amber Bernell, of Branson; Emily Johnson and Korrie Brinton, both of Lebanon; five step-great-grandchildren, Kaden, River, Ryland, Bodie and Gracen; a number of other relatives and friends.
A private graveside service and burial for Marilyn Sue Hicks will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
