Mary Sue (Long) Dunn, 82, of Phillipsburg, died Thursday morning, Sept. 13, 2018, in her home near Phillipsburg.
She was born April 7, 1936, in Lubbock, Texas to George A. and Trudy Louise Rush Long.
On Dec. 17, 1954, she married Andrew Wayne Dunn in Lubbock, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew, on May 8, 2010, and a sister, Bettye Waldrip.
Mary Sue was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, and graduated from high school there. She then attended Lubbock Christian College. She worked for Merchants Motor Freight and then at Texas Technical University. In 1970, she and Andrew moved to La Cruces, N.M. and she worked for the New Mexico State University for 25 years. After retiring from the University, she worked for Del Valle Physical Therapy as a medical transcriptionist for 20 years, retiring in 2012. She then moved to Phillipsburg where she enjoyed her retirement years. She was a founding member of Lebanon Pound Pullers.
Mary had attended Lebanon Family Church.
She is survived by a son, Randy Dunn and his wife, Tanya, of Phillipsburg; three grandsons, Shaun Dunn, Brent Dunn and wife Hailey, and Kyle Dunn, all of Lebanon; five great-grandsons, Hayden, Maddox, Bentley, Winston and Colton; a brother Don Long and his wife Margaret, of Montague, Texas;  several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Larry Duke, of Lubbock, Texas.
Arrangements for Mary Sue (Long) Dunn are under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, at the family home near Phillipsburg.
Memorial donations to the Lebanon Pound Pullers may be made through the funeral home.
