Ruth E. Dimock, 93, of Lebanon, died Monday morning, Oct. 8, 2018, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lebanon.
She was born May 27, 1925, to Alvia Ray Hodge Sr. and Dollie Sprarling Hodge.
On June 17, 2006, she married Robert Dimock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Betty Jean Wilson; one son, Gerald Ray Roam; three sisters, Eva Curtis, Lorene Bostic, Ida Mae Schuckman; one brother, Alvia Ray Hodge Jr., and one stepson, Richard Allyn.
Ruth worked as a homemaker. She also worked at a 5 & 10 store, at a laundromat, and as a clerk at Fort Leonard Wood.
Harvest Tabernacle Church was central in her life.
She enjoyed puzzles, playing games, and fishing. She also enjoyed cooking for her family.
Survivors include her husband Robert Dimock, of the home; one daughter, Carolyn Anderson and her husband James “Zeke’’ Anderson, of Waynesville; two sons, Greg Dimock and his wife Cookie Dimock, of Lebanon and Bill Roam and his fiance Linda, of Barnhart, Mo.; nine grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Ruth E. Dimock will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with the Rev. Bob Thornton, the Rev. Chris Thornton and the Rev. Bradley Dimock officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Estates in Waynesville, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon.
Memorial donations may be made to Harvest Tabernacle Church and left at the funeral home.
