Defense was optional on Friday night between the Lebanon Yellowjackets and Parkview Vikings at JFK Stadium as the Lebanon football team prevailed to a 70-50 victory to improve to 6-2 on the season.

In a game that featured no punts from either team, the ‘Jackets scored on every single possession in the contest and put up the most points in a single game in their program’s history (60 points against Hillcrest in 1995, per Larry Winfrey).

“It is a win, and sometimes you have to find a way to win,” head coach Will Christian said after the game. “(Friday) was a basketball game, and we made more shots than the other team, so it is a good W, and we will take it.”

Despite a poor defensive performance, the Lebanon offense exploded for over 500 total yards of offense for the second straight week, including 179 rushing yards from junior Quamiere Wright, 174 rushing yards from senior Jayden Ivey, and 59 rushing yards from senior Joey Boshe.
