It was a historic day in the Lebanon High School boys’ golf program as senior Cooper Hess set a new school record for individual wins in a career.

On Monday at the Waynesville Invitational held at Piney Valley Golf Course, Hess recorded his 16th individual win by shooting an even par of 72, beating the previous record held by former Lebanon golf standout, Mark McBride.

“Breaking the record was never a goal of mine coming into high school,” Hess mentioned. “I wasn’t even aware I was close to the record until last year, but it is very cool to know I have got all-time win record for Lebanon for as long as it stands.”

Also earning first-place were sophomores Houston Brackett and Grant Carr as the two teamed up to win best ball against the opposing teams.

Senior Tryn Titus earned 3rd overall by carding a 77 on Monday, finishing just five strokes behind Hess.
