It was a successful weekend for the Lebanon High School wrestling with both the boys’ and girls’ teams taking first-place at the Fred Ross tournament at Lafayette High School.

With 17 teams competing in the boys’ division, Lebanon finished with a team score of 232, 16.5 points ahead of second-place Jackson. The girls’ division was controlled by Lebanon with a team score of 202, beating Lafayette by 41.5 points. There were 26 total teams in their respective division.

“We have a few boys moving around in the line-up right now,” head coach Randy Roark said about the season overall. “We are all healthy. Hopefully, everyone stays healthy for the rest of the year. If so, we should have a solid finish. I thought both teams wrestled extremely well this weekend.

“The girls are having a great season so far. We are seeing tougher competition this year. The numbers of girl wrestlers have tripled this season, so we are getting tougher competition.”

Overall, the ‘Jackets and Lady ‘Jackets had five wrestlers combined bring home the gold medal over the weekend, including Trevor Christian, Cole Roark, Colt Adkins, Ashlynn Leochner, and Quincey Glendenning.
