Alternate assessment approved for Lebanon schools

Posted
The Missouri State Board of Education has approved an exemption for 19 school districts, including Lebanon R-3, and one charter school to measure student achievement using alternative assessments instead of the state’s prescribed methods. “Lebanon is one of 20 schools leading the way in supporting students for success in their future,” said Dr. Holly Schrage, Lebanon Schools’ Assistant Superintendent of Quality Learning and Experiences, in a written statement. “We are thrilled to participate in an assessment that provides a meaningful, transparent and accurate reflection of student learning. Our teachers will be equipped to inform instruction in real time, supporting individual success and real world learning.” For more on this story, see the LCR.
