Republican candidate for governor, Jay Ashcroft campaigned in Lebanon Saturday.
Ashcroft, the Missouri Secretary of State, appeared at the Laclede County Shrine Club for a meet and greet event where he spoke with guests. He is seeking the Republican nomination in the August primary. The other announced candidates include L. Gov. Mike Kehoe and State Senator Bill Eigel.
At Saturday’s event, Ashcroft said he was campaigning based on his accomplishments as secretary of state.
