In an effort to attain more firefighter candidates, the City of Lebanon is changing the minimum requirements to be hired by the Lebanon Fire Department.
The city is establishing a two-track system to help recruit and retain firefighters, according to City Communications Manager Derek Gean.
The change was made Thursday night at the City of Lebanon’s Personnel Board Meeting.
Currently, firefighters hired by the City of Lebanon are required to have Firefighter 1 and 2 training along with EMT training.
