The Lebanon City Council approved updates to its purchasing policy at Monday night’s meeting.
The Council gave second reading approval to an ordinance that amends city purchasing guidelines. Under the buy local policy, the city was able to award contracts and purchases with suppliers located in the city or county if the cost difference was no greater than 3% of the lowest bidder. The revised policy changes that to 5 percent.
