Clark's Men's Wear will close after five decades in business

Posted

Dick Clark has seen fashion trends come and go since he opened his store in 1969.

He has seen the jacket lapels widen and narrow over the years.

He is thankful that the changes were rather conservative compared to ladies’ fashions. The current lapel width has been popular for years.
Shoppers will not find the trendy “skinny suits,” currently popular with young men, hanging on the racks.
“They’re like the leisure suits. They’re not going to stay, in my opinion … They look very uncomfortable,” Clark said.
They will not find a lot of items for large men either since they were the first to go after Clark made an announcement a few weeks back.
After 50 years of dressing Lebanon area men, Clark’s Men’s Wear is closing.
Clark, 82, believes it is time.
