Council waives fees in attempt to spur development

The Lebanon City Council adopted a resolution Monday intended to help spur development.
The action taken at the Council’s Monday night meeting will waive some residential construction impact fees. According to the resolution, this is designed to “provide housing construction within the city in an effort to provide housing to a target market, boost the local economy and increase the sales tax base.”
City Administrator Mike Schumacher said the move is designed to encourage development on lots where the city has already invested in infrastructure.
