Discussion at the Sept. 12 County Commission meeting highlighted issues placed on the Sept. 19 meeting agenda.
The commissioners discussed the topic of issuing permits to riders of ATVs and UTVs on county roads.
They reviewed what other counties had on the books but slated their final decision for the next meeting.
“Those who might ride in the county might feel a little more confident if they did have a permit and they were not worried about being in violation of some type of ordinance or law that exists. How I’ve come to reason this is there is probably no reason not to do it. Those who currently do and do so following the regulations that exist can continue to do it, and those who like to ride their UTV or ATV following the guidelines would go through that permit process and be allowed to do so,” said Presiding Commissioner Randy Angst.
