Dorothy “June’’ Vogels, 99, of Buffalo, was born June 8, 1924, in northern Dallas County to A.B. and Gona Sweaney, and died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023. She is survived by a daughter, Rev. Jennifer Long and her husband Tim of Buffalo; a number of grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services for Dorothy “June’’ Vogels will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, in the Faith Christian Church in Buffalo shared space with Buffalo United Methodist Church with Dr. Jeff Wallace, Pastor Tim Case, and Pastor Rex Warren officiating, under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Faith Christian Church or New Hope Cemetery.
