With lots of people flocking to the Laclede County Fairgrounds this week, many were intrigued by the Thursday event, the draft horse pull.
Competitors for the event traveled from all over, including Pam Gray of Miami, Okla. who has been doing horse pull events for 20 plus years.
When asked why she enjoys horse pulling, Gray said the travel is a big reason.
“I just love getting to travel all over the places and meet new, amazing people along with it,” she stated. “I enjoy working with the horses daily and getting to know them.
“It is very therapeutic and it is something I just love to do.”
