Drug dog donated to Sheriff's Office

Posted

Law breakers beware. There is a new law dog roaming Lebanon and Laclede County.
His name is JC. He is the K-9 donated by Judy Benage to the Laclede County Sheriff’s   Department and named after her late husband who died in 2014 at age 82.
“I just felt like they needed more help, and I was going to help them out,” Benage said.
Benage donated the funds for the purchase of the dog to the Lebanon Area Foundation  in the spring.
Originally from the Czech Republic and imported by Shallow Creek Kennels in Pennsylvania, JC spent some time at the Boone County Sheriff’s Office K-9 training facility with his trainer, Boone County Deputy Chris Smith, before being paired up with his Laclede County handler, Deputy Jesse Cook.
