EDWARD JULIUS "ED" FRISCH

Edward Julius “Ed’’ Frisch III, 74, of Grovespring, died Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in Springfield.

He was born Jan. 27, 1949, in Montebello, Calif. to Edward Julius Jr. and Jacqueline Chamberlin Frisch.

On May 27, 1967, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Amelia Kennedy.

Those preceding him in death include his parents and by two brothers, Kenneth and Randy Frisch.

Ed graduated from high school in Foothills Farm, Calif, with the class of 1966. Following graduation he entered the United States Army, and proudly served our country in Korea, Germany, and within the states, for four years, four months and twenty-two days. He and his young bride made their home and raised their family in California until they moved to the Lebanon Community in 1998. While making his home in Lebanon, he was employed with Lebanon Ready Mix and Willard Asphalt for many years. He owned and operated a beef cattle farm in Wright County, which he loved dearly. Ed enjoyed the time spent with his fur baby “Brandy,’’ however, he treasured memories made with his family, especially with his grandchildren and the special bond he had with Tristen and their rides in Grandpa’s cement truck.

He was raised Presbyterian.

Ed is survived by his wife Elizabeth; one son, Edward Julius Frisch IV and his significant other, Shanna Osborn of Phillipsburg; one daughter, Felicity Boston and her husband Kyle of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Nathan Schimes, Tristen Taylor, Tuff, Trinity and Thomas Boston; one brother, Jon Frisch and his wife Donna of Eleveth, Minn.; nieces, Jennifer Gomez of Virginia and Erica Gagliardo of California; other relatives and many friends.

The family will be having a private service at a later date. His body will be cremated. Memorials have been suggested to American Kidney Foundation or to Wounded Warriors. Donations may be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, 1001 N. Lynn or P.O. Box 948, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
