End of an era: Demolition of old Junior High buildings begins

Posted

Work started Tuesday to demolish the Wallace, Rainey and Industrial Arts buildings at the old Lebanon Junior High School campus.
A crew from Gerken Environmental began dismantling the Industrial Arts building at the corner of Sixth Street and Washington Avenue on Tuesday morning.
The buildings had been part of the school district for many years and were most recently used for junior high classes before completion of the Lebanon Middle School in 2016.
The School Board voted in August to accept a bid from Gerken Environmental to dismantle the buildings.
