Former Lebanon attorney charged with deceptive business practices, stealing

Posted

A former Lebanon attorney who was disbarred in January now faces 25 felony counts of deceptive business practices, two counts of forgery and one count of stealing.
Jeffrey Bryan Allen is accused of taking money intended for his clients, while he was an attorney in Lebanon operating out of an office on Adams Avenue across from the courthouse.
He is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 3 before Judge James Stephen Grantham in the Laclede County Courthouse.
Allen was disbarred after the Missouri Bar received multiple complaints against him. He was accused by former clients of committing fraud, forgery and misappropriating clients’ funds.
