Former mayor elected to Council, Carr wins full term

A former Lebanon Mayor was elected to the Lebanon City Council and the mayor who replaced him was elected to a second term in elections Tuesday.

Josh Ray who resigned as mayor in 2017 defeated Ward 3 Council member LeAnn Mather for the Council seat. Ray received 116 votes while Mather received 100.

The incumbent Mayor, Jared Carr, was elected to a second term as mayor with 600 votes, Jim White had 406, Vince Jobert III had 75, according to unofficial results from the Laclede County Clerk's Office. Carr was appointed to the office in 2017 after former Mayor Ray resigned.

In Ward 1, Gib Adkins was re-elected with 166 votes. His opponents, Daniel Coleman and Stephen Marcum received 53 votes and 83 votes respectively.

In Ward 2, Sheila Mitchell was re-elected with 221 votes. Also running in Ward 2, Jeramy Vinson received 34 votes and Dax G. Cogdill received 102 votes.

A proposed Laclede County use tax was rejected by voters. It received 921 yes votes and 1,449 no votes.

Elected to the Laclede County C-5 School Board were Robert “Bob” Hall with 159 votes, Melissa Angst with 175 votes and Melissa Wehner with 158 votes.

Elected to the Laclede County R-1 School Board were Courtney Ann Gunter with 145 votes, Scott Anderson with 139 votes and Crystal Peterson with 102 votes.

In the City of Conway, Fred Savage was elected mayor without opposition. Scott Pulley was elected in Conway Ward 1 and Jeff Ikerd was elected in Conway Ward 2, both without opposition.
