FRANCES D. ORTIZ

Frances D. Ortiz, 67, of Phillipsburg, died Monday, May 11, 2020, in Lebanon.
She was born Jan. 23, 1953, in Roy, N.M. to Marcos and Eloisa Maynes Ortiz.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Danny Ford Jr.; by two brothers, Edward and George Ortiz; by one sister, Lucy Padilla; twin siblings, Charles and Charlene Ortiz, and by twin great-grandsons.
She was a devoted mother and homemaker and when her children were grown, she was employed with Marathon Electric, Wendy’s, Subway, Rameys and was a cashier at Lazy Lee’s and the Eagle Stop through the years. She also babysit in her home and enjoyed working in home health and at Christian Healthcare South. She also found time to take several classes at OTC.
Survivors include her two sons, Mark Ford and Daniel Ford and his wife Debbie, all of Phillipsburg; her daughter, Eloise Jackson and her husband Troy of Lebanon; three brothers, Albert Ortiz of Pueblo, Colo.; Ernest Ortiz of Fayette, Ala. and John Padilla of O’Fallon, Ill.; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends
A Celebration Visitation for Frances D. Ortiz will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2020, at The Copper Roof Barn in Phillipsburg. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Copper Roof Barn in Phillipsburg. As per her request, her body will be cremated under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
