Memorial Day Celebration held at Mount Rose Memorial Park

Attendees at the 20th year of the Mount Rose Memorial Day Service heard key note speaker Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe talk about sacrifices made by decades of American veterans. Before the service, sponsored by Holman-Howe Funeral Home began, Kehoe spoke about the importance of taking the time to recognize their contributions to America. “I think it’s important for anybody to come to events like this. Whether you’re an elected official or not, no matter what freedoms you enjoy in this country, it was on behalf of the ones that came before us. Stopping at least one day a year, I say try to remember them everyday of each year, the sacrifices that people made, and I think it’s a very important part of our country,” Kehoe said.
