Good Samaritans help broken down traveler

Posted

An Oklahoma man is grateful for the help of  Good Samaritans at a Lebanon business and a local man who gave him a trip home last month.
“Special people for sure, they deserve recognition,” Frank Long said. “There’s some really nice people over in your area.”
Long said he and his son had picked up a vintage 1948 Plymouth Coupe in Quincy, Ill. in December and planned to drive it  home to Copan, Okla., but experienced problems outside Lebanon.
“We were stranded on the highway and had just enough money to get home on,” he said.  “A fellow named Gabriel (Gainey) at the local Auto Zone not only gathered the parts we needed and had them delivered to us, he paid for them out of his own pocket.”
