Gospel Spectacular kicks off Friday

Posted

For more than three decades, local gospel group The New Horizons has been putting on Lebanon’s Gospel Music Spectacular.
“We’ve been doing this for 35 years, and we’ve never had a bad show,” said event organizer Danny Rhoades, who is also a member of New Horizons.
Some of the top gospel bands and entertainers from around the nation will converge on Lebanon Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the 2019 Gospel Music Spectacular. Admission to the event is free, but a freewill offering will be taken up at each show.
“You can give if you want, but it’s OK if you don’t. Nobody is turned away because of the price of a ticket,” Rhoades said.
The event kicks off at 7 p.m. Friday night for what Rhoades describes as “all Missouri night.” Talent from across the state will be performing, including White River Reunion, Lonesome Road, the Letters, comedian Jarrett Dougherty (who is a well-known Branson performer) and The New Horizons.
