Joel E. Barber Superintendent Rachelle Jennings was ecstatic to hear what Mike Davis, chairman of the Lebanon Education Foundation, had to say to the Joel E. Barber School Board on Nov. 18.
“I am proud to present a check for $13,300 to the Joel E. Barber school district,” Davis said.
Jennings knew LEF was interested in awarding the district a grant when they contacted her a few months ago.
“They asked me for kind of a wish list, like what could they do to really help out our school and help our students. I did put together quite the wish list, and I really kind of just was hoping that they would pick one thing, just one thing off of our list,” Jennings said
Hoping for just one item from the LEF did not stop her from giving the foundation plenty of options from which to choose.
