LFD gets new custom fire truck

Posted

The Lebanon City Fire Department had a long wait for their newest engine that arrived in October.

It takes 10 months to a year to receive a custom truck from the time it is ordered to the time it is received.

While it takes just 16 weeks or so for the actual fabrication of the truck, waiting for the previous orders to be completed is part of the waiting process.

Plus, it is a custom ride. Selecting the components and ideal layout was step one.

Fire Chief Sam Schneider said his staff looked at the setups used by other cities and chose the elements that best suited the department’s needs.
