Local couple rent out their home through Airbnb

Posted

The Airbnb concept originated in 2007 when two roommates, Brian Chesky and Joe Gebbia, were searching for a way to pay for their expensive San Francisco rent. They placed an air mattress in their living room and advertised it as a bed and breakfast.
Their company formed a few months later in 2008 when a third man, Nathan Blecharcczyk, came on as its technology guru. Soon after, a website was launched for AirBed & Breakfast.
Since then, AirBnb has made inflation a good thing by offering places to stay in America and in other countries at lower than hotel rates.
Rachel and Matt Starnes own one of 15 Airbnb options in Lebanon.
They know firsthand about the convenience of Airbnbs.
