Lunch for the linemen

Posted
Linemen working to restore power to Lebanon last week took a break Friday for lunch at the Civic Center. Providing lunch or dinner were First State Community Bank, the fire union, Lebanon Ready Mix and an anonymous individual who paid for lunch. Walmart and Coke provided drinks. The city said many individual citizens provided coffee, water and other assistance. A total of 96 people were working on the project Thursday. Linemen form other communities helped, including the cities of St. Robert, St. James, Waynesville, El Dorado Springs, Carthage, Nixa, Columbia, Laclede Electric and a couple of contractors. Many were without power for much of the week after a storm came through the area last Monday.
