Marie Smith, 87, of Warsaw, died Sunday, May 17, 2020, at the Hermitage Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hermitage

She was born March 9, 1933, in Hawkins County, Tenn. to James Carl and Arizona (Bently) Crusenberry. In 1951 she graduated from Whitesburg High Schoo. She worked in a canning factory in Whitesburg and later at Frells Drug Store in Morristown, Tenn.

On July 17, 1956 she married Darrell Smith in Morrisontown, Tenn. and made their home in Warsaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Darrell Smith and two brothers, Kenneth Earl Crusenberry and William Robert Crusenberry.

Marie was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and attended the First Baptist Church of Warsaw.

She is survived by three sons, Steve Smith of Richland; Michael Smith and his wife Gloria of Lincoln, and Mark Smith and wife Rachel of Leavenworth, Kan.; four grandsons, Zacharie Smith and his girlfriend Amelia Fizer of Lincoln; Christian Smith and his girlfriend Loretta Steffens of Cole Camp; Caleb Smith of Kessler AFB in Biloxi, Miss., and Bryce Smith and his girlfriend Rebecca Hollister of Joint Base Andrews AFB in Washington, D.C.; and two great-grandchildren, Weston and Hailey JoMarie.

Funeral services for Marie Smith will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2020, in the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Warsaw.
