MELVIN DEAN COLEMAN

Melvin Dean Coleman, 69, of Lebanon, died Wednesday evening, Feb. 26, 2020, at Mercy Hospital Springfield.

He was born July 4, 1950, in Lebanon, Mo. to Clell and Betty Jeffries Coleman, who preceded him in death.

Melvin was born and raised in the Lebanon area and graduated from Lebanon High School. He worked at Detroit Tool for a time and then as a cook at Western Sizzlin’ Steak House for a few years. He had been employed as a machinist at Copeland Corporation, which is now Emerson Electric for 25 years.

He believed in God and had established his own personal relationship with his Lord and Savior.

Survivors include his son, John Coleman of Camdenton; his daughter, Cecilia Warren of Kansas City; several grandchildren; two sisters, Vera Howe of Camdenton, and Kay Rector of Lebanon; his stepmother, Carol S. Coleman of Lebanon, and a stepbrother, Keith Mahan of Lebanon.

Funeral services for Melvin Dean Coleman will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon with the Rev. Allen Reeves officiating. Burial will be in the Myetta Cemetery near Camdenton, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. Visitation will be noon-1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
