The Lebanon City Council Monday night approved funding from the capital improvement fund and park reserves to complete the construction of the new Nelson Park.
According to City Administrator Mike Schumacher, the city received $2.5 million minus costs from the sale of the old Nelson Park. The expected costs of the purchase and construction of the new park is $3.35 million. He said this leaves $870,000 in expenses.
City Communications Manager Derek Gean said some of the money comes a result of moving current park projects to the new park.
