PATTY LOU CALTON

Patty Lou Calton, 85, of Lebanon, died Thursday evening, Feb. 20, 2020.

She was born June 14, 1934, in Competition, Mo. to Oscar Newton and Velma Rabania Ward Claxton.

On Jan. 14, 1970, she married David D. Calton, and they shared 20 years before his passing on Jan. 10, 1990.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; a son, Mark Wynacht; a brother, Jimmy Claxton, and a sister, Kathryn Robertson.

Patty was born and raised in the Competition area and attended elementary school there. She then graduated from Hartville High School. She began working as a civil service employee at Fort Leonard Wood. After she and Dave were married, they made their home in Lebanon and Patty worked at Consumers Market for over 30 years. She was also a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.

She had made her profession of faith in Christ and attended Community Baptist Church.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Victoria Paige Wynacht of Lebanon; her daughter-in-law, Cathy Wynacht of Lebanon; a sister-in-law, Melba Claxton of Lebanon; nieces, Jill Robertson, and Gail Stephens and her husband Bill, all of Lebanon; two nephews, Steve Claxton and his wife Cindy, and Jack Claxton, all of Lebanon; and special friends, Joe and Linda Berkich, Rhonda Berkich, Christine Saunders, Pat and Darrell Ivey, and Sally Simmons.

Funeral services for Patty Lou Calton will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with the Rev. David Douglas and the Rev. Allen Reeves officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park in Lebanon, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.

Visitation will be 6-7:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
