Person infected with COVID-19 visited local hospital

A Pulaski County person with COVID-19 was at the Lebanon Mercy Hospital radiology department March 13, according to information released Monday by the Pulaski County Health Department. Four cases of the novel coronavirus have now been reported in Pulaski County. As of Tuesday morning, no cases of the illness had been reported in Laclede County. In a press release Diane Victoria Shaver, the Pulaski County Health Center informed the public of potential COVID-19 exposure in the community at several locations. The release said people at locations on these dates are at low risk for contracting COVID-19, but should monitor for symptoms and that there is no need to self-quarantine or isolate unless symptoms develop. According to the Missouri Department of Health and Human Services (DHSS), as of 2 p.m. Monday, there were 183 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state. Three deaths had been reported from the disease in Boone, Jackson and St. Louis counties. For more on this story see Wednesday's LCR.
