Three hurt in South 5 wreck

Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 10:17 a.m. Friday on Missouri  5, a mile south of Lebanon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Brittany J. Lander, 30, of Lebanon, the driver of a southbound 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe failed to observe traffic slowing down, crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2016 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Kristopher L. Hopkins, 35, of Grovespring.

Lander was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Lebanon. Hopkins was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Springfield, and a passenger in his vehicle, Kalitta J. Hopkins, 34, was airlifted to Mercy Hospital Springfield. The Highway Patrol described their injuries as moderate to serious.
All were reportedly wearing seat belts.
