TOMMY JOE JENNINGS

Tommy Joe Jennings, 62, of Lebanon died Friday, July 28, 2023, in Springfield.

He was born Dec. 31, 1960, in Lebanon to Guy and Jean Winfrey Jennings.

On April 25, 1981, he was united in marriage to Marianne Null.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws, Grover and Lillie Null.

Tommy graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1979. He was a carpenter for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, both deer and turkey, fishing and tending to his vegetable garden. However, most important was the time spent and memories shared with his family.

He was a member of Community Baptist Church.

Tommy is survived by his wife Marianne; children, Elizabeth Dickens and her husband Tim of Ash Grove; Melissa “Missy” Jennings of Springfield, and Jimmy Jennings and his wife Brandi of Lebanon; siblings, Guylene Franklin, Sharon Null and her husband Grover, Tim Jennings and his wife Sherry and Gina Sommer and her husband, John, all of Lebanon; grandchildren, Jacob Dickens, Zach Dickens, Lillie Labahn and her husband Cameron, Luke Dickens and his wife Kindell, “little” Tommy Jennings, Avah Jennings, Isaiah Atkins, Nate Atkins, Jocelyn Atkins and Alec Hamrock; three great-grandsons, Jackson Dickens, Waylon Labahn and Wryder Labahn; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carol McCord of Vacaville, Calif.; Jim Null and his wife Karen of Lebanon; Minnie Durbin of Lebanon; David Null and his wife Vicky of Lebanon; Nina Marcum and her husband Donny of Fort Worth, Texas, and Tammy Jennings and her husband Ross of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service for Tommy Joe Jennings will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at Community Baptist Church with Pastor Allen Reeves officiating. There is no burial scheduled at this time. As per his request, Tommy is to be cremated under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. The family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Tommy. Donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O.
