Vertie Kay Jones, 80, of Marshfield, was born May 13, 1943, in Springfield to Elmer and Georgia (Dill) Alexander and died Sunday, March 10, 2024. She is survived by her children, Phyllis Ann Waller and husband William, Joel Everett Jones and wife Shelly and Gayla Sue Heape and husband Gary; seven grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2024 at Osage Baptist Church in Marshfield. Burial was in Marshfield Cemetery under the direction of Day Funeral Home of Marshfield. Memorial donations may be made to the Choice Pregnancy Center in Marshfield.
