Preparations are underway for Lebanon holiday traditions, the annual Miss Merry Christmas pageant and Little Miss Merry Christmas pageant.
The event has been taking place in some form since 1966, according to Wendy Reece, pageant director.
“When it started it was for high school age, senior girls only and every year since there’s always been something called the Miss Merry Christmas Pageant,” Reece said.
The entry deadline has now passed for the Miss Merry Christmas Scholarship pageants. The Miss Merry Christmas pageant will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 at Cowan Civic Center. The Little Miss Merry Christmas Pageant is at 2:30 p.m.
