Last Wednesday afternoon, Matthew Williams and Danielle Ribby saw both the end of their treatment court journey, which lasts up to two years, and the beginning of the rest of their lives. Circuit Courtroom A held family, supporters and government officials to commemorate the occasion.
“It is always a special late afternoon,” Judge Larry Winfrey said.
Winfrey gave a brief overview of the Laclede County Treatment Court at the start of the ceremony, explaining that the program worked with an intersectional team of professionals to provide support to high risk, high need individuals seeking recovery from addiction.
